FAQs

While doing my own research on Maine Coons, many questions do pop up. Here are some of my more frequently asked questions from potential families. If you have any questions, send me a message thru our contact form and I’ll be happy to help.

Where are you located?

We Are located in south west, Minnesota, with a quick drive to Sioux Falls, SD or Minneapolis, MN.  We are a small cattery and all our kittens are hand raised by our family!

Is Moser Maine Coons a Registered Cattery

Yes we are registered with TICA since 2023. All kittens are able to be registered with TICA.

Can I visit the cattery?

We are a closed cattery and do not allow in-person visits or home tours in effort to limit outside exposure to our unvaccinated offspring and unnecessary stress to our pregnant/weaning Queens. Photos and videos are generally provided of development weekly. We work hard to keep families as involved in the journey as we safely can!

Do you sell Breeding Rights?

At this time we do not offer breeding rights.  Please check back in the future when we have a couple more years under our belt.

Do you offer delivery or transport options?

Pickup is available at the Minneapolis Airport or in Sioux Falls, SD at any Petsmart location.
We also offer transport options ranging from $500-$800 depending on your location

I’ve searched for kittens and have come across kittens of all prices. Ranging from $500-$5000 dollars. Why such a wide price discrepancy?

I loved this question when I got it because it’s one I hope many of you will now understand.  If you have found a kitten listed for under $2000 that kitten is 90% of the time a scam.  They will take your money and you will never see the beautiful kitten whose picture they most likely stole from a reputable breeder. BEWARE OF SCAMMERS! Photos can be stolen, videos can be screen recorded and watermarks can be deleted. Please do your research and be cautious.

The other 10% is a backyard breeder one who does not strive to better the breed, test for the common genetic diseases that occur in the breed, and only breed for the money. Often those kittens come with a slew of problems and don’t represent the Maine Coon in the best light.

Raising Maine Coon Kittens correctly is not cheap and that is why the price reflects that.  Breeders who take the time to test, evaluate, and feed a solid diet in a clean loving home/cattery are worth the extra money to ensure your kitten is a healthy Maine Coon and a loving one at that!

How much are your kittens?

We breed luxury European line Maine Coons. Kitten pricing starts at $3750.

What is Polydactyl or PolyPaw?

Polydactyl is a genetic condition where a cat is born with extra toes on one or more paws. Typically, cats have five toes on their front paws and four on their back paws. Polydactyl Maine Coons can have up to seven toes on their front paws and six on their back paws. This is not a deformity and dates back to some of the first Maine Coons! I absolutely love the extra toe beans and we do often have poly kittens!

What Color of Kittens do you have?

We have many traditional colored Maine Coon Kittens such as red tabbys, red silvers, black classic, and sometimes black smokes. We also have tories and many of our kittens will have white one them. We also have the stunning Black Silvers and High Black Smokes that we plan to specialize in.
